Campus Readiness Snapshot

These mission-critical metrics animate into view to show how the campus scales from daily life to emergency activation.

Housing Capacity

Daily operations: 60–100 veterans and family members housed

Emergency surge: 280–520 individuals sheltered across CRC, Village 5, program spaces, and surge facilities

Food Security

Daily operations: 1,300–2,100 meals/day (Village 5 + CRC kitchens)

Emergency surge: Up to 4,000–5,000 meals/day with full surge activation

Greenhouses, orchards, and stored goods support 30+ days of independent food operations.

Energy Resilience

Solar microgrid + battery storage enables island-mode operations, keeping critical systems online during grid failures and storms.

Water & Infrastructure

On-site water storage, rain capture systems, resilient piping, and redundant utilities sustain agriculture, housing, and essential care through extended outages.

Staffing Readiness

Counselors, housing staff, and a trained veteran workforce operate agriculture, culinary, maintenance, and energy systems with emergency protocols ready for activation.

Emergency Activation

Category-5-hardened facilities, mass-feeding capability, redundant communications, and coordination with VITEMA, FEMA, and VA partners.

Why This Campus Matters

Veterans returning to civilian life often face housing instability, trauma, limited job opportunities, and a lack of long-term support. In U.S. territories, these challenges are compounded by geographic isolation and frequent natural disasters.

The STX Veterans Campus is a purpose-built solution:

This is how we prevent homelessness. This is how we restore stability. This is how we rebuild purpose.

Our Mission

We exist to ensure no veteran is left without support or hope. Every part of this campus — every acre, every program, every building — exists to uplift veterans and strengthen St. Croix.
